The team that is faster to both baskets and defends better has won every game. I predict that the team that gets back/plays uptempo in the remaining games will win those, and the series.

Sorta moots this whole debate to see Roy play. But I'll take it. Game ON.

Will it be enough? Can the Blazers hold serve? They need three, they don't need any more on the road. It's no guarantee they TCB at home necessarily, but it's pretty big to have those games. You guys'd be apoplectic if they'd lost game 2; that was a backs against the wall situation where if you've got anything going at all (and the Suns surely do) you will let it all show in Game 2.

But due credit, they adjusted and it worked perfectly. Blazers didn't play their best in Game 1 and REALLY played like ass yesterday--how do you neither get the O-reebs or get back on transition D?--and it's on Nate and the players to react to those adjustments and seek to regain parity of control.

Here's something to think about: Game 7, tied 3-3, does Roy play? Sure looks like a plausible outcome, Portland winning 2 of 3 in the Rose Garden. Just keep that stored back in your mind as food for thought. It'd be a hell of a game.

My point is that the Blazers beat the Suns, the Suns didn't do it to themselves. Amare didn't step up on offense, and Nash didn't step up on D. And Portland did their level best to "hand it" to Phoenix in the last minute.

But it wasn't only ONE game. It was THREE out of the last FOUR games. What does it take to realize that these teams are evenly matched? Gentry saying "the whole series is going to look like this game?" If he's right, that's Portland playing their game, not Phoenix playing theirs.

Suns beat the Suns? I didn't see Amare coming up big on defense against himself. I didn't see the Suns hand Miller 31 points.
