While I certainly don't think Shields is on a level with Jon Fitsch, I do agree with you that he's not super thrilling in the cage. I guess that doesn't come across very well, what I meant by spicing up the lackluster MW division is Anderson Silva's held that belt for a long, long time now, and someone needs to take it from him. A guy like Shields who can take him down and control him is the best bet. That's kind of what I implied. Plus, the talent pool is real thin in that weight class, so any talented fighter showing up and competing there can't do anything but help.

What research would you have me do? I'd love to hear which fact I used that was wrong.

First of all, the argument I'm making is strictly hypothetical, that Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin or Alistair Overeem can beat Fedor. Obviously since none of those fights have happened, that's just me saying what I believe will happen in those fights.
