lol i think thiago didnt capitalise due to him being too busy showboating ... infact thats definately why although i will admit neither fighter was full of energy in the 3rd.as for the 10-5 i think that reflects the difference in damage done in the 3rd. 'frustrating' is not my goal if im a champion.. my goal is to brutalise the bitch lol. rashad will never be champion again! you heard it here first lol. as for the machida fight... we will never agree but fair play mate.

and you sir are way more intelligent than to give a 10 - 5 round to someone just for rocking them :P you may consider it "not fighting" but you could see thiago becoming frustrated by the takedown which threw him off his game, and being taken down for 2 rounds clearly paid dividence cause he was unable to capitalise when he badly hurt rashad imo, if you look at damage, shogun still won that machida fight cause they both had bruised ribs but machida's legs were red raw and you could tell they were bothering him by the way he grimaced when his corner applied ice to his legs x

you are way more intelligent than that mate. you know for a fine fact that the level of damage that thiago scored in the 3rd round was waaaaay more than that done by rashad in the first two. rashad was trying to win without actually fighting. and that shouldnt be rewarded.

thiago scored 10 - 5 in the third round on damage... ...if thats the case then he also lost the first 2 rounds 10 - 5 for not landing a single punch while evans had him butt scooting to the fence 3 or 4 times

u make fair points. i dont expect everyone to agree with my opinion. i also expect that a reasonable amount of fight knowledge would be needed from judges to implement a new scoring system. whatever the solution might be... theres one thing for sure. the current system is fucked.

I agree with you to a certain extent, but I think scoring round based on damage would lead to more problems then it would solve. Now it's easy to score on damage when there's a clear winner like in the 3rd round of Evans vs. Silva, but others are not so easy and would lead to more controversy. For example, in the Fedor vs. Rogers fight, Rogers landed very few punches and cut Fedor, while Fedor landed alot of hard punches, controlled Rogers on the ground, knocked Rogers down, and rocked him multiple times. Now if judges were scoring on damage, they should give it to Fedor (IMO), but if judges see blood they might make the assumption that blood=more damage (which it doesn't) and give it to Rogers. I also think this would lead to fighters that are more prone to cuts and bruises getting robbed of decisions. And I'm sorry, but no matter what criteria you used to score that fight, Shogun won.
