Nice rebuttal HK. I must point out, seeing as you're taking the "Winter Olympics only" angle, that Luge is not as unpopular as you think. There are 25 countries involved in Luge for the Olympics this year, which is more than most events, and there are 110 competitors in Luge, which is more than Curling, short track speed skating, skeleton and Ski-Jumping. I respect your opinion on this, I just don't agree with it.

I said it before, and it's just me, I really didn't want any battles on this til after the games, but be it as it may, there's one on here....bottom line is the Olympic Committee deemed that it was human error. The guy is 22 years old and was not as experienced. Not a sport? You kiddin, technically your life is on the line in every sport...these athletes train their whole lives for this and to take it away would be devastating to them. The speeds they go btw are over 154 km/h...I am not certain how many Miles/hour that is but I think it's mroe than 60. They are safe, they are trained, and Nodar Kumaritashvili was sadly not and what happened was tragic. It shouldn't have happened because he shouldn't have been on that course, as hard as it is for me to say that.
