Hands down GamePoint wins this debate! Good job to both of you! Chaim18 this topic may not have been your forte, but in your first video we could tell that you enjoy debating and I wish you the best of luck... GamePoint, this is hands down one of the better debaters I have seen on this site... You use facts and passion even though you may not be on the most popular end of the debate... I look forwards to seeing more from you!

DD does have the most potential out of anyone in the draft, and I hope he reaches that one day. The sky's the limit for him, but I don't even think DeRozan himself would call himself the most dominant player on the floor at this point in his career like you peg him to be. His motto is "Get better every game". And that's what he's going to do for as long as he's a Raptor. 2) Doubling minutes and then doubling stats is a very misleading way of measuring a player. Even Bosh and Bargnani don't play 42 minutes. You have to assume things like pace, usage rate, team shot distribution. There's no way of telling or no guarantee that DD would put up 16.4 pts in double the minutes. But if it's any consolation, I see DD putting up present-day Iggy numbers by year 3 or 4. 3) Yes, he can dunk! I'm excited to see him in the dunk-in. He will steal the show come Friday night.

Hey chaim, that's fine, just don't forget to tell your friend to vote.. I happened to have already recorded my rebuttal, and I'm uploading it now, but I just wanted to point out a few things about your "Rebuttal Comment". 1) Yes, the Raps are the greatest team in the NBA. :) But I'm not sure how it works in the NHL draft, but being picked 9th doesn't come with the assumption of being a "dominant force". In the NBA, rarely does anyone come into the league as a force, and only a a few ever reach that potential. More often than not, the top 2 picks are assumed to be dominant right away, or eventually become dominant. There are exceptions like when 4 of the first 5 picks in the 2003 draft became great. And of course, there are the few lucky slips/steals later in the draft. But generally speaking, the 9th pick produces a steady role player. Think DJ Augustin in 08, Noah in 07, our very own Raptor POB in 06, and so on.

My video isn't working and i dont like the plain audio so heres my rebuttle: I got 3 points for you to consider: 1) Demar Derozan was chosen 9th overall in 2009 draft by the Raptors (the greatest team in the NBA). When a player is chosen that high in a draft he is assumed to be a dominant force when he reaches the NBA. Is there any reason why you can deny that he has done just that. Okay, the Raps don't five him enough paying time to show what he can do, but watch a first half of any game where Derozan is on the court. He is the most dominant player on the floor. Along with Bosh, he controls the game. 2) The Stats: In 45 games Derozan has averaged only 21 minutes/48 minutes. In that time (less than half a game) he has averaged 8.2 points. If it were mathematically possible if played double the time he would average 16.4 points/game. This would put Derozan top 3 on the Raptors behind Bosh and Bargnani. 3) THE MAN CAN DUNK!!! HE WILL PUT ON A SHOW AND IS AS GOOD AS ANY OTHER ROOKIE!!!!

However, great argument fro GamePoint from the debate point of view. I do think that being a starting guard for a winning team (unlike Evans or Jennings) have to count for something. Helping a team win by defense, energy and contribution even when you're the 5th option on the team has to count for something. BUT...the vote goes to gamepoint, his argument is solid.
