Gonna have to go with Megatron on this one. Unfortunately for vancan, he added the "go 'nucks, go!" at the end. That may have helped sway my vote lol. But seriously...I agree with Megatron on this one.

I clarified that the Crosby injury was around the END boards, which is where Icings take place and the crosby play and Johnson play could have very well taken place on icings and been WORSE. You know that! LOL. ESPN has nothing on THN btw! :) As well, fighting is much more respectful than a headshot and I am 100% certain that the majority of hockey fans do not wanna see fighting taken out. YOU CAN COME AFTER ME ALL YOU WANT! I'M STILL THE MAN! HAHAH!

ahaha dont call me little :P Megatron, what about equipment you ask, well ya, what about equipment? The elimination of touch icings will have a far greater impact on preventing catastrophic injuries compared to changing equipment standards. I'm not sure there's TOO TOO Much that can be done with equipment now, even with goalies.

but there are far greater issues at hand, icings should be low down on the totem pole. What about equipment.

Very good battle on this one guys. Megatron, you've done well to argue your points, but the league has to limit the opportunities for which the players are in a vulnerable position. Getting rid of touch icing does that.

i honestly dont see that many races for the puck where its actually close to being negated by a player racing back. the frequency with which it happens is not worth the injuries that could possibly be sustained imo.
