megatron the reason i brought the point up is because this is about catchweight and you used an example where a fighter moved up a whole division, whereas at a catchweight both fighters have to compromise on their natural weight i dont think either of these things are NEEDED i just think that catchweights bouts make more sense as opposed to creating weight classes when the current divisions are so competitive and stacked slice vs alexander is a fair fight between 2 guys who arent seperated by much at all in terms of weight, height, reach, skill etc

I think boxing loses a lot of it's excitement because there are a ridiculous amount of weight classes and therefore, a crap load of champions. Each of the weight classes become less stacked and the champions lose credibility.
