you're 50% right. Nothing would keep me more happy than the yankees losing, but I still want more teams to enter the playoffs.

if u widened it there would be nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo compitition.... and would essentially ruin the regular season for everyone... and they need too get better and maybe get that one more bat to get to the playoffs next yr. (no offense but i believe u want to widened the wildcard so the yankees wont win in the playoffs)

two things, either expand the field of play, or implement a salary cap. The way it's going, money is always going to win the day. Anyone can win a 7 game series yes, but only the ones with money consistently win over 162 games, and quite honestly i'm sick of the Yankees winning! Expand the wildcard teams, or install a salary cap, so says Megatron! ;)

Says the man who lost this battle recently. Considering you're a bluejays fan, I'm surprised you wouldn't want to see your team in the playoffs, but that's just your opinion, I have mine.

The MLB playoffs are an exclusive post season to ensure high quality of participants. Just because you like crappy teams doesn't mean they should get in, they should actually try and improve. The long season is good, the long games are good, and the people who have the attention spans to watch the season regularly would rather the cream of the crop get into the playoffs. The long season makes it very clear what teams are solid and which ones are not. In Baseball, the regular season is for your team and the post season is for good teams. The casual baseball fan who would like to see their team in the playoffs would say broaden the playoffs. A real fan who understands the MLB would agree it's good the way it is.
