I stopped watching hockey as much, due to the strike... the game just isn't the same as it used to me... it's worse than politics and it's ALL about money.

even though there are more ppl in the US, it doesnt mean that there are gonna me mre hockey fans in that city that will go to see their team so it really comes down to cities that would support and pay to see their team and Canada loves their hockey lol

that's a good argument darkstar, why can't he do both? yes, that's a pretty valid argument, the man is getting paid a sh*t load of money to run that damn league.

This is another good topic. In my opinion the NHL should be able to multitask and try to get both done at the same time. If they can't, perhaps it should be under new management. I'm not a big fan of Gary Bettman to begin with...but he isn't doing anything to change my mind with that. You got the Phoenix Coyotes that are losing $30M+ per year when the team could be in a Canadian city where it will sell out nearly every game. I don't know how it is in Ontario, but in Edmonton there is a 3-5 year wait for season tickets. At the same time, a TV contract could bring in an extra $30M or more. I don't think that Bettman is managing his time very well if he can't look at both at the same time. Both of these things NEED to get done asap. With that said, my vote goes to Jazg...sorry Megatron.
