You mentioned that Oden will be better defensively which is true becasue he is the bigger man but you also mentioned that this is a marathon and this is for the long run. Right now Durant has proved himself. He has great athleticism on a bad team. His 2.8 assists last yr proved that he can pass the ball (although a little more would be better) and he can get more assists per game. Even only averaging a little over 20 minutes a game last year, Oden only put up 0.5 assists and were not sure if hes willing to be an unselfish man. You have seen his dunks they are exciting and im pretty sure any guy would want to dunk like that all the time rather than pass the ball. For a big man you're not always expected to shoot well form the free throw line but Oden only shot 63% compared to Durants 86%. Big difference even though they are in different positons. Overall i think that now and in the future, Durant is the man you would want on your team over Greg Oden
