To me it's Simple for one the Trailblazerz can be a top 4 team in the West but, there not there behind, Denver, Los Angles, Dallas(Who added some nice pieces in the off season), Spurs(Same as Maverick), & arguably the Hornets. When it comes to Bargnani vs. Aldridge got to take Aldridge, Aldridge is been more succesful & the better overall player up into this point, now I will say this Bargnani will not be as good as Nowitzki let's get that straight, really if you just compare there career stats it answer's the arguement there. LaMarcus Aldridge: 15.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.1 bpg, 49% FG, 22% 3pt, 76% FT Andrea Bargnani: 12.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.1 apg, .8 bpg, 42% FG, 41% 3pt, 83% FT They both play with stars on there team with Chris Bosh, & Brandon Roy so it really is telling career wise who has been the best so far & most likely in the future. I did watch both arguement's too got go with Mark sorry Pete

it comes to this question. Can any one of these guys become a franchise guy? Jury is still out, but I still say there's a better chance of AB becoming that guy that LA...can't judge a players worth in 3 years play, so I'm saying this purely on potential.

put it this way: a much better overall player at 6'11 who primarily sticks around the perimeter named Dirk Nowitzki has never averaged 30 and 10, so projecting this guy to eventually get to that level is a bit too much. One can only get so many defensive boards, and if you're averaging less A (singular) offensive rebound a game, you're not averaging 10 boards a game. I will take consistency over potential any day, so Aldridge is the pick here.

oh i think he'll be a 26-29 kind a guy...but yes, not over a lifetime, in his prime.... talent can't be learned, tough defending can. No one ever said he was polished, but damn he's got potential

question....would you still pick Oden number 1 given that he could turn out to be a huge bust?

30 10? has anyone in history ever been a 30/10 guy other than like... oscar robertson? His peak is 20/10 at total best, but more like 20/6. He'll never be a number 1 option the way he plays, and he isnt "hard" enough to be a legit defender all the time.

yeah but the real difference is going to come after he settles into Triano's offense and gets used to his teammates....i think he's got the potential to be a 30 - 10 guy

well... 19/6 is fine, but lamarcus HAS done that before , or very close already.
