Actually, in his prime - Lindland could take Silva. Silva has always said that his worst fight would be against a fighter like his team mate Paulo Filho. Lindland could definitely dominate *if* he could get it to the ground. I think Lindland is much like fellow Quest-er, Henderson, in that he'd be a dangerous opponent for Silva - maybe even moreso because he doesn't think he can strike like Hendo can. And once on the ground, Lindland's game is SMOTHERING. But I still have to go against you, Miz. Not because I don't think Matt Lindland couldn't beat Silva if both were in their prime, but because I'd say Silva would take it 7 out of 10 times. At least a few KOs/TKOs and the rest by decision. He's got enough ground game to stall for the stand up or keep it active. His corner is canny enough to help him weather Lindland's storm. And he might even threaten from the bottom. The only way I see a prime Lindland winning is by decision, and that's only 30% of the time.

He was pretty friggin gassed in the Baroni and Doerksen fights, he may have won but he should have been able to finish both guys. And it's pretty clear in those fights that he would get killed by someone like Anderson Silva.

it was normal, sir. Belfort did that to a few other people. Also, dave terell should/would have been a top 10 fighter in the world if he got his act together. Lindland gassed in which fight in the early part of his career?

Plus Lindland would be gassed half way through the 2nd round and wouldn't be able to land a hand on Silva..thus allowing Silva to pretty much do whatever he wants: guillotine, flying knee, head kick, etc. Lindland has always been a solid fighter and never an elite fighter. Hell, his biggest win is Pat Miletich, who is a welterweight.

He got KO'd by Dave Terrell, WHO?!?!? And Anderson is probably just one level below Bustamante in jits, he's a black belt under Nog. And whether you take it as valid or not, they are facts. If you come out strong and quickly against Lindland, you have a good chance to KO him. And I wouldn't call the Belfort KO "normal", they almost had to stretcher him off.

ha h aha.....Miz, when the F, do you ever accept anyone's opinion as valid! lol...i'll go with EB on this one, lame chin, average defense and terrible cardio...but he does get points for looking like a wrestler...the dude is ugly!

lame sub defense. You're right. He's been subbed by fedor and Bustamante. Both are less good than anderson at subs (smiles)...Lame chin...He's been KO'ed twice also in normal fashion. Im sure you'd say people who've been koed more have better chins... So I dont accept your comments as valid.

Lindland has a lame chin and pretty under average sub defense and cardio. Anderson eats him alive, past, present & future.
