I think it needs 1 more weight class...between 185 and 205...So i'd have to vote for "For"...if this wasn't over already.

yeah, I mean - right now, it makes no sense what with only a few marquee fighters above 235, but it is the way of the future. Good battle, man.

what's lost in all this is that eventually, you're right, they will have to have more weight classes. 205 to 235 actually would be a perfect class. here's my problem with a fedor, brock fight. On any given day, Fedor would come in around 225-235, but Brock, 290! that's a 50 to 60 pound difference. That's a major hill to climb for any man, even the Last Emporer

Ah crud - I had this great diatribe about how wrong you were and how right I was. Yeah, it seemed to be on mute...dunno why. Anyway, my point was about how putting a 235 lbs weightclass or something like that would make for more competitive fights and more competitive fighters as they would have to work cardio/etc. to make weight and thus not gas out as frequently. Also, that the early UFCs might not have had weightclasses, but they also didn't have gloves...or time limits...or rules...and that's all changed. Also, that 205 is really well populated with great fighters...it's 205 that needs more fighters, especially at the upper ranges of the weight.

Ah I was in Kingston as well - we probably passed each other on the 401. Should have continued the battle in the cars! I'll see if I can get my act together and post a rebuttle tonight at least. That, and I'm gonna vote for myself! :D That "0" is discouraging.
