The facts are that the Raptors didn't have the right assets to make a solid trade. Calderon was BC's best asset, but he's been injury prone lately and he's hasn't played all that well. So maybe we should add in some expiring contracts? Probably. But, the expiring contracts weren't big enough for other teams to bite. In my opinion, the best move BC made was not making a move until the off-season, once the CB4 situation is answered.

If true, Amir Johnson was probably a deal break for BC because without Amir Johnson, the Raptors DO NOT have a LEGIT, SOLID player to BACK-UP AND RELIEVE 2 of our best scorers in the season who happen to be Chris Bosh and Andrea Bargnani. BC doesn't want Crittenton probably because of the gun incident and he's suspended, plus Rasho or Reggie aren't reliable enough on both ends of the court to help out the Raptors finish off the season strong, let alone win a playoff round. Also, Amir has played surprisingly well giving good rest minutes for Bosh and Bargnani. So what to do? Hmmm...

I never really heard anything about the Raps getting Butler or Martin until I watched this debate. But if the deal was avalible for us to take why did we not take it? Unless DillyDillz made that up? Also if the offer was on the table how can you say that we didn't have any real value to trade when the vaule was what the Wizards wanted and apperently Brian Colangelo did not want to give up Amir Johnson. Which was a deal breaker.........................................
Trading Amir Johnson is not like trading Chirs Bosh. As young and athletic Amir Johnson is he is still a bench player, at least for now. I think that GamePoint and DillyDillz were very close, but I chose not to vote becuase I wasn't conviced that one person made a better aurugment than the other. Please relply back some I am very interested to hear what you have to say!!!!

Bhav, why don't you behave? For your information people like me and a few of my friends all saved our votes to the very last hour knowing that every time GamePoint got a vote in the beginning, magically Dilly got one or two immediately afterward. Is that cheating? Or is that good game play? Perhaps you should have noticed that some of the votes were changed at the last minute from people changing their minds, i noticed... But at the end of the day they both had good debates, and I feel the better debater won... Isn't that what it is all about?
Out of curiosity, why were you keeping such close tabs on the score? (GP did have 20 or more last night by the way) Why are you so angry? Did someone fall asleep on the job? Did the duper just get duped?
P.S. - The Raptors had NOTHING to trade with to get anything of REAL value! Read through the comments again.... There is no way that GP was the clear cut looser, it was just suppose to look that way...

I'm a huge GamePoint fan, and I'm glad his supporters helped come through for him with some last minute voting. I guess some advertising to let fans know wouldn't hurt either. I don't about you, but I remember him having more votes than 20 at the end of yesterday. Also, how can you say GamePoint was the clear cut loser in this round. Do you even watch or pay attention to basketball, or do you just vote. To say he was the clear cut loser just goes to show how much you don't know about basketball and how things work. Dilly made some good points, but the deals for Martin or Butler were not reasonable or likely. BC probably offered "let's try my luck, and hopefully I rip them off" trade - it wasn't going to happen, nor was it nessasary considering that CB4 himself said it's best not to make a trade. Also, I don't know if you noticed, but you probably did since you payed attention to the GP's vote count, but Dilly lost some votes. Only cheaters lose at the end of the day...

How could Gamepoint win??? This guy had under 20 votes at the end of yesterday? Then all of a sudden he gets all these votes by 2pm? Gamepoint was weak, you were the clear cut loser, but thats great that you cheated to get votes, enjoy your victory you shady joke

Thanks 4 The Support Maniacs!! Finally got Internet Connected in the new pad! Moving is such a hassle!! Not even fully settled and now I have to head to Cali in the morning for work! Lakers v.s Raps at Staples Center, but doesn't look like I'll be able to attend :( Solid Battle going on here! I hope The Pro will be ready bcuz he's in for a Mike Tyson Esque Uppercut!!! via Myself or GP!
@chanman Thanks Caron Would have been huge for us! BC made a counter offer of Rasho, Calderon, and a 2nd rounder for butler and boykins but Washington declined, however Bryan and Ernie went back and forth with offers but nothing was done, sticking points were Wiz wanting Amir, BC not wanting to include him and BC was reluctant to bring in Crittenton. Raps Personnel were really high on the deal and disappointed It didn't come to fruition! I don't buy your argument on Euros not having enough heart or passion, and find that comment rather inappropriate.
