But I would have the rules different than pancrase. More like PrideFC rules (pride cause kicks and knees to the ground, but with elbows!!!) with no gloves. In pancrase you can't punch to the head. Punches to the body and palm strikes to the head.

That would be my thought too, Would Cain's wrestling be too much? Alistair is another guy right at the top too I think.

@lakers, Ha yeah, more like a spike or spear than a knife. I make them for exercise. But I usually just rub the stick on cement to sharpen. The knife is for design or details etc. I made a vid about it www.youtube.com/s7934777

-I agree that no gloves would not be well accepted as a sport in today's society, but many things should be accepted but aren't. -MMA is a tough sport and injury is going to happen no matter what. You can make an argument for pads on elbows and knees too.

-In my perfect world everyone would get along and only spar for fun (no ufc etc.) and money wouldn't exist, but it's a way martial artists can make money in this chaotic world of course.

So in this current chaotic world, competitive mma would be nice without gloves in my opinion. Or at least like a version of pancrase. Punches not allowed to the head and palm strikes allowed everywhere. With knees and kicks to a grounded opponent added. As far as a palm strike to the nose uppward.
