Wow, I started watching this with the presumption that this guy saying MMA should have no gloves is just silly...but Suleiman's argument was really good...I still disagree because there would be alot of broken hands and the striking would be MUCH more tentative...but good arguments.

As a big MMA fan I think that the Fedor/Overeem fight would be awesome, though I do see Fedor taking that one as well, and I think that win would most def. further prove Fedor's dominance. It was a long time ago when Allistair lost those fights at LHW; he is much bigger now and some of those fights, like the one with Liddell, he was winning until he gassed, which he doesn't seem to have much of a problem with at HW. However from a business/ratings as well as intriguing I would like to see the fedor/hendo fight, but I have to agree that Fedor beating Hendo wouldn't prove much, and it could be a win/win situation for henderson.

I actually became a boxing fan because of MMA. Professional wrestlers[with actual wrestling backgrounds] wouldn't go to boxing...because there is no wrestling involved.

I think Aoki should stay out of the UFC if he wants to keep winning, and certainly if he wants to have a belt. I think the top LW's in the UFC would be able to avoid the ground with Aoki and have the striking to put him away. He wouldn't be pampered by the refs in the UFC either, the ref was constantly telling Hansen to watch the back of the head, even when Aoki was turning into the punches and a time or two when the back of the head wasn't even hit. I thought the whole recovering after getting hit in the face with that up kick was kind of BS as well. I hope Kawajiri faces Aoki next and I think Kawajiri takes it by TKO.

Well I suppose this battle is pretty much a non-issue now, unless Kimbo gets the chance to replace someone. In that case he still won't win. Rothwell can beat him again and from what I've seen so can Madsen. He's just too far behind on the ground.

Fortunately we have what certainly could be a good fight next week in Kimbo Vs. Nelson! The fight between Shivers and McSweeny fight was sad to watch, both fighters gassing and McSweeny winning the fight based solely on about 10 leg kicks, there certainly should have been a 3rd round....I still cant believe McSweeny was running while Shivers had his hands on his knees and panting like a dog. Hopefully the fights get better from here on out...it'd be difficult for them to be worse.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty Biased when it comes to Wanderlei, big fan of his during his PRIDE days and still a fan. I began to question whether he was done with MMA myself until the Rich Franklin fight, where it could be argued that Wanderlei won. Also after hearing of his facial surgery which will reduce the chances of cuts as well as improve his breathing, and seeing that he seems to be a bit leaner now has placed a new faith in me as far as Wand is concerned, and I think this would be a great opportunity for both fighters. Leben's heavy hands and granite head are tools that can give anyone trouble, and I think his last couple performances have left something to be desired but I think a fight like this could revitalize the fighting spirit within the crippler.

I personally don't like the fact that it's on MTV and MMA is already being quickly integrated into pop culture, and for me that just means more guys calling MMA 'UFC' and more "Just Bleed" type folks getting into the sport. Of course the show could and is making MMA more popular and allowing more revenue to be generated within the sport....but as said, I think it is kind of demeaning to the sport, however, I'm probably just being selfish.

I think Diego's wrestling is pretty much irrelevant against BJ Penn, Bj's TD defense is amazing. The only place I give Diego the advantage in is cardio, and BJ's cardio has looked better in his last two fights at LW. Diego COULD wear BJ down with his pressure, but he's going to have a hard time doing it without getting hurt IMO. I just don't see Diego winning, but anything is possible.

Posted in response to diego sanchez vs bj penn i pick diego for the win.

I have to go with the Don on this one, Miguel's mullet doesn't scare me as much as Don's mustache. I personally think Wand's staredowns are the best.

Posted in response to Who has the best staredowns in MMA?? I say the legendary, Don Frye..
