Even over the course of the last few regular seasons, Halak has not proved consistent enough to hold off Carey Price as the legitimate number one starter for Montreal.

Meanwhile, at no point during the season did Claude Julien and the Bruins waver in their confidence in Rask; and they had a VEZINA WINNER waiting in the wings, ITCHING to play, who still managed to put up more than respectable numbers in his backup role (I believe it was like a .915 SV% and around a 2.5 GAA).

Rask is the better goaltender, he's the better story, Halak and the Habs are a flash in the pan and are going to go down in 4-5 games to the Pens.

haha very well said Jack... I'm impressed. But I still stand by my point. As mentioned in the comments of my video, a lot of Halak's dominance was a product of Washington's ineffectiveness, especially on the powerplay. Not to mention the fact that the Habs were blocking shots left right and center to compliment Halak.

Halak has proven to be far more inconsistent than Rask, and that was proven not just in the playoffs where he was pulled in favour of Price AND even sat for an entire game, but in the first game against Pittsburgh.
