Could have used Barnett or Silva as your 10th if you didn't want to admit to Overeem being in the top 10 as opposed to Kongo. I really need to invest in a web cam so I can battle. =P

I gotta disagree. I think Fitch wins this by close decision. Fitch will come into this fight much larger then Penn. He'll pin Penn up against the cage and drain Penn. The second round he'll drag Penn down. That's the difference between Fitch and a Sherk or Hughes. He doesn't shoot for the doubles, he grabs you and uses his size to drag you on the ground. There I expect Fitch to just lay on Penn and feed him a few shots but nothing significant. Third round Penn will be gassed and it'll be a repeat of the second round. But I hope your right. Rather see Penn win then Fitch.

I gotta go with Anderson. Clearly this will be a stand up war and both men posses the ability to put someone away with one shot. However I think Silva has the advantage standing up. Vitor doesn't utilize kicks. Leg kicks or any kicks. Silva will be able to keep his distance from Vitor and hit him from out of Vitor's range. Vitor throws short fast shots, he has to get in close, the problem with that is if Anderson gets ahold of Vitor's neck Vitor is going to sleep via vicious knees.

Bader has the advantage in every category I think. More power in the stand up, better takedowns. Like you said how will Jones respond on his back? That being said I gotta go with Jones. It's his flashiness that will get Bader. He'll make some ridiculous throw, and as soon as he's ontop I think it'll be a ref stoppage. Regardless if Bader wants it or not, it'll be because Bader wasn't able to defend himself intelligently.

Couture got dominated by Big Nog, and struggled with Vera. Machida has pretty much beaten everyone he fought. The only one who CLEANLY beat Machida was Shogun who utilized leg kicks. Something Randy doesn't do. Couture has to be able to cut off the cage and back Lyoto into it, which is very unlikely to happen. Ground game and stand up I give to Machida hands down. I think you over estimate the impact of wrestling in MMA. Yes in most cases wrestlers are at a stronger advantage because they can dictate where the fight takes place but that doesn't always guarantee a win. Sonnen vs Maia? Couture is old. You can't ignore that. At what point do you take into consideration his age if not now? When he's 73 years old and still fighting?

Chael Sonnen's wrestling is far superior then GSP's. Not to mention the HUGE size difference between Chael and GSP. To compare the two is ridiculous. Wrestlers haven't always beaten non wrestlers. Gracie vs Shamrock? However I agree with you that GSP would beat Anderson just because Silva's takedown defense isn't that great and GSP has a great ground game from the top. Anyways I gotta ask if you were in a stable state of mind because you seem like you were on something...

Not to forget that if they were set up against Alves or Kampman or Swick like you've mentioned, all three are coming fresh off loses and makes no sense to put them into a potential contender fight. It's almost certain that they'd have to get past Fitch. I think I have an idea of how the UFC works. =D

Further more Lytle was pretty much picked apart by Alves. I know for a fact because I have that fight on DVD. It was certainly entertaining but Alves picked Lytle apart. The ONLY potential contender you could make a case for is Condit but if you take into consideration his fight against Rory it's clear he's not ready. If GSP defeats Kos and Shields which I'm sure he's capable of doing, the welterweight division has been cleaned out. You can't ignore the fact Fitch has gone 5-0 and faced much stiffer competition then any of the fighters you mentioned and pending a victory over Penn his resume is far more impressive then Condit. Victories over Alves and Penn out due a victory over Serra or a victory over Hardy.

Dan Hardy went against Swick who in his previous 10 fights went 9-1 including a 4-0 run in the UFC following his last defeat, and in dominating fashion. Hardy pretty much picked him apart. Alves went through Hughes, Koscheck and Parisyan as well. Facts are you have to defeat established fighters. Condit's victory over Rory wasn't exactly impressive. For the most part he was getting dominated but then caught him towards the end. If Condit were able to defeat Lytle and given the time frame he'd still have to defeat the likes of Alves or a Swick. Lytle has already proved to be a gate keeper. When faced with an opponent of potential contender ship and an established name Lytle has crumbled.

Condit/Lyttle will not result in a NOC. Lytlle hasn't established himself as a winner. He gets the Fight of the Nights but not the key victories he needs. Condit is from Jacksons camp and has been there from the start. GSP is Jacksons most important fighter. In most cases fighters don't fight each other from the same camp. This will be another one of those cases. Jackson won't turn his back on someone who was so loyal to him, but won't turn his back in his most important fighter either. Condit vs GSP won't happen. Kim may be a potential opponent but Diaz couldn't get it done at lightweight because he was getting overpowered by guys like Maynard. Don't be mistaken because he beat Davis. Davis was a good fight for him. When he faces guys like Koscheck, Fitch, Maybe even Johnson he'll struggle. I don't think Sanchez will get back in it either. As long as guys like Kos and Fitch and Sheilds are around, they'll have to go through them and I don't see that happening.
